Alljährlich treffen die Mannschaften des AC Luganos und des Kantonsrivalen AC Bellinzona aufeinander. Diesen Treffen wird seit eh und je mit großer Vorfreude in beiden Städten entgegengefiebert. Es ist aber hinzuzufügen, dass diese Aufeinandertreffen immer unter fairsten Bedingungen stattfinden. Es gibt weder auf dem Spielfeld noch am Rande der Partien Probleme oder gar Ausschreitungen. Beide Vereine fiebern mit größtem Respekt dem jeweiligen nationalen Saisonhöhepunkt der beiden Städte entgegen, auch wenn der Klassenkamerad aus Bellinzona meist immer etwas besser in der Tabelle steht als die Jungs aus Lugano.
