Die Saison 8 begann am 05.07.2004 mit der Saisonvorbereitung und endete am 29.11.2004 mit dem Saisonübergang zu Saison 9.

Neuerungen

Zwei neue Länder gab es in Saison 8 zu 'besiedeln': Schottland und Portugal. Für die Urgesteine beim BMO sind diese beiden Ligen zwar nicht wirklich neu, aber diesmal kamen sie um zu bleiben. Neue Ligen wurden geplant und wieder auf die lange Bank geschoben. U.a. auch eine Konglomeratsliga der Osteuropäischen Länder. Mit 10 Ligen hatte der BMO seine damalige Höchstmarke erreicht und versuchte erstmal, diese zu halten.

Multiuser sollten verfolgt und entfernt werden und ein noch größerer Super-User-Stamm aufgebaut werden, da BMO sich für die Verantwortlichen immer mehr zur Freizeit-Dauerbeschäftigung entwickelte. Vieles wurde geplant. Wenig wurde umgesetzt. Die Verbesserung der WM-Edition konnte forciert werden und auch ein paar Features für die neue Saison waren bereits fertig.

Ereignisse

Saison 8 zeigte einmal mehr, wie schnell doch das Internet-Leben abläuft. Zu sehr hatte man sich auf D-Lehms Anwesenheit verlassen. Kurz vor dem 1. TAT beendete er seine Managerkarriere (später machte er allerdings wieder weiter). Auch Rainer Unsinn legte für kurze Zeit sein Amt nieder, Zeichen der schlechten Kommunikation im Rat. Diese lag auch in D-Lehms Abgang begründet. Nur noch 4 Admins waren vorhanden: Jetty, D_Lex, Lex, Kuma. Zu diesen 4 gesellte sich Horst-Holger Boltz (Victorolosaurus). Man versprach sich mehr Innovation durch diesen jungen programmiererfahrenen Manager.
