Sebastian Backer ist ein deutscher Abwehrspieler der Stärke 10. Sein reales Vorbild spielte in der Saison 2000/2001 für Bayern München, war hier sogar Teil des Profikaders, kam jedoch zu keinem Einsatz, er spielte lediglich für die zweite Mannschaft des Vereins in der Regionalliga. Nach den Zwischenstationen MSV Duisburg in der zweiten Liga und Eintracht Braunschweig in der Regionalliga verschlug es den realen Backer zeitweise in die fünfthöchste Spielklasse zum SC Fürstenfeldbruck. Ab Saison 2007/2008 ist Sebastian Backer in Diensten des SV Heimstetten und wird für diese in der Bayernliga, der vierthöchsten deutschen Spielklasse, antreten. Sein BMO-Pendant kam vermutlich als Spieler Bayern Münchens in die BMO-Welt. Da er just zu Gründungszeit des BMO in Diensten eines der Gründungsvereine der BMO-Bundesliga war liegt dieser Schluß wohl nahe. Zur EM Saison 16 wurde Backer erstmals in den Kader der deutschen Nationalmannschaft berufen.
