Die Saison 37 begann am 15.04.2013 und endete am 14.07.2013 mit dem Saisonübergang zu Saison 38. Der erste Liga-TAT wurde am 04.05.2013 ausgespielt.

Neuerungen
Als Folge der Funchal-Affäre (vgl. Ereignisse) beschloss die Spielleitung folgende Änderungen:
Maßnahme 1:
Das Training wurde so geändert, dass alle Spieler der Talentstufe 9-12 gleich trainieren, nämlich wie bislang die Max-10er; Max-9er werden somit etwas besser als früher, Max-11er und Max-12er etwas schlechter trainieren. Die neuen Trainingseinflüsse können in den Regeln unter Punkt 3.3 nachgelesen werden, wo auch auf die exakte Trainingsformel verlinkt wird. An den Trainingsleistungen der Gruppe der Talentstufe 9-12 ändert sich insgesamt kaum etwas.
Maßnahme 2:
Um die Vorteile für Maritimo Funchal sowie für alle weiteren Vereine, die von dieser Methode möglicherweise erheblich profitiert haben könnten, zu minimieren, wurden einmalig die tatsächlichen Max-Stärken aller Spieler der Talentstufe 9-12 im Spiel, die noch nicht am Ende ihrer Entwicklung angekommen waren, zufällig neu verteilt (9, 10, 11, 12), so dass frühere Trainingsbeobachtungen wertlos sind.
Maßnahme 3:
Um eine weitere Eskalation von Forumsbeiträgen in Zukunft zu vermeiden, werden die Umgangsregeln für das Forum präzisiert. Dies betrifft vor allem zwei Punkte: Diskriminierende, rassistische, beleidigende oder polemische Beiträge, persönliche Attacken, haltlose Unterstellungen/Vorwürfe, Beiträge mit übler Nachrede oder Verleumdungen werden deutlicher und schneller geahndet, gelöscht und ggf. von den Richtern sanktioniert. Ebenso wünschen wir uns in Zukunft, dass einzelne Themen auf ihren Thread begrenzt bleiben. Wer Themen in Zukunft offensichtlich in eine Vielzahl weiterer Thread verlagert, nur um Aufmerksamkeit zu erhalten, dessen Verhalten wird zunächst mit Löschung der Beiträge, später mit einer temporären Forensperre sanktioniert (Regeln, Punkt 6.3)

Funchal-Affäre
Viel Aufregung gab es nach der Aufdeckung des Talents der ehemaligen "großtalentierten" Spielern als Folge der großen BMO-Reform der Saison 36. Beim portugiesischen Klub CS Maritimo Funchal, geleitet von Marquinho, der auch als Admin tätig war, wurde offenbar, dass 40 von 43 Spielern der Talentstufe 9-12 angehörten. Die statistische Wahrscheinlichkeit wäre etwa 50% gewesen. In der anschließenden Untersuchung stellte sich heraus, dass Marquinho die entscheidenden Transfers, in denen er Spieler der Stärke 8 (damals Talent "groß") abgab und dafür Spieler der Talentstufe 9-12 (damals ebenfalls "groß") kaufte, kurz vor seiner Ernennung zum Admin tätigte. Der Verdacht einer Manipulation konnte somit ausgeräumt werden. Marquinho hatte stattdessen eine ausgefeilte und aufwändige Strategie angewandt, in dem er die Formentwicklung sehr vieler Spieler über längere Zeit analysierte. Obwohl Marquinho seitens der anderen Admins und der FPK rehabilitiert wurde, trat er kurz vor Beginn der Saison als Manager von Maritimo Funchal zurück.
