In Saison 21 und 22 unterlagen die Geschicke des FC St. Mirren ihrem Manager Commander (ehemals Commandersb). Mit viel Ehrgeiz und Engagement nahm er diese Aufgabe damals an, wechselte vor Beginn der Saison 23 zu FC Queens Park. Dabei konnte er in seiner zweiten Saison die bisher beste Platzierung der Vereinsgeschichte erzielen, als man am Ende den 4. Platz belegte.
Geschichte
Seit 1877 wird der FC St. Mirren aus Paisley, auch The Saints genannt, als reiner Fußballclub bekannt, während er in den Jahren davor bereits als „Gentlemen's Club“ existierte, der unter anderem Cricket und Rugby spielte. Das erste Fußballspiel fand am 6. Oktober 1877 gegen „Johnstone Britannia“ statt. Paisley liegt etwa 13 km westlich von Glasgow und ist mit ca. 70.000 Einwohnern die fünftgrößte Stadt Schottlands. Aus Paisley stammt auch die wohl berühmteste schottische Persönlichkeit, nämlich Sir William Wallace, schottischer Freiheitskämpfer. Momentan tragen die Saints ihre Heimspiele noch im St. Mirren Park aus, jedoch wird im Ferguslie Park ein neues Stadion gebaut.
Vereinsinfo BMO
Die Vereinsgeschichte beim BMO geht auf die Saison 8 zurück, als unter dem damaligen Manager Silence3000 am Ende der Saison der 13. Platz belegt wurde. Der bisher größte Erfolg der Vereinsgeschichte war der Pokalsieg in Saison 10, als man unter dem damaligen Manager TheTom zum einzigen Mal den Pokal nach Paisley holte. Die Enttäuschung saß tief, als man am Ende der Saison 14 auf dem 18 und somit letzten Platz landete und den schweren Gang in die 2. Liga antreten musste. Allerdings konnte Netzer07, der dem Verein erhalten blieb, diesen Betriebsunfall wett machen und den sofortigen Wiederaufstieg feiern. In der ersten Saison nach dem Wiederaufstieg tat man sich noch schwer und konnte gerade so den erneuten Abstieg verhindern. Danach entwickelte sich der FC St. Mirren immer mehr zu einer festen Größe im schottischen Fußball und krönte dies mit dem hervorragenden 4. Platz in der letzten Saison. Diese Saison wurde noch mit dem ersten Meistertitel des FC in der Geschichte, die Jugend holte sich die Meisterschaft, gekrönt. Nun hoffen alle, dass man sich in der Spitzengruppe festsetzen und in naher Zukunft vielleicht auch die erste Meisterschaft der Profis gefeiert werden kann.
Spielbetrieb
Am aktuellen Spielbetrieb nehmen neben den Profis auch die Amateure in der Amateur League und die Jugend in der Juvenile First League teil.
