Der Football Club Sochaux-Montbéliard ist ein französischer Fußballverein aus dem unmittelbar an Montbéliard angrenzenden Industriestädtchen Sochaux. Gegründet wurde der "Werksklub" des Autoherstellers Peugeot als FC Sochaux im Jahr 1928 und das Peugeot-Logo, ein stehender Löwe, schmückte bis 2015 das Vereinswappen. Danach werden die Spieler des Vereins auch "les lionceaux" genannt. Auch das Stade Auguste-Bonal (früher: Stade de la Forge) wurde 1931 in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft zur Fabrik errichtet.

Sochaux ist eine französische Gemeinde mit 3820 Einwohnern im Département Doubs (Region Bourgogne-Franche-Comté). Wichtige Städte in der Nähe sind Montbéliard und Belfort. Bekannt ist Sochaux als Standort der größten Automobil-Fabrik der Marke Peugeot mit etwa 10.500 Mitarbeitern (Stand 2019) und das Musée de l’Aventure Peugeot.
