Der U21-Afrika Cup wird alle zwei Jahre während des Saisonübergangs veranstaltet, erstmals Saison 14. Unter 32 Nationalmannschaften Afrikas wird dabei der Afrikameister ermittelt. Die jeweiligen Halbfinalisten des Afrika Cups sind für die folgende U21-Weltmeisterschaft qualifiziert.
