Der Verein
Stabaek IF, ein Traditionsverein der Skandinavia 2, war lange als Managergrab bekannt. Dementsprechend findet sich das Team seit einigen Saisons regelmäßig im Keller der Liga wieder. Mit dem aktuellen Manager Adam West ist zwar noch nicht wieder der große Erfolg eingekehrt. Das Erreichen der zweiten Pokalrunde wird jedoch bei den Anhängern und in den Medien als Trendwende gewertet.
