Der Verein
Djurgarden Stockholm - kurz DIF - ist ein Verein aus dem Osten Stockholms. Das reale Vorbild ist Djurgardens IF Futbollförening, einer der erfolgreichsten schwedischen Fußballvereine. Zu den wohl bekanntesten Spielern gehören Andreas Isaksson und Kim Källström, die mit Djurgardens IF 2002 und 2003 die Meisterschaft der Allsvenskan gewannen.

Die erfolgreichsten Spielzeiten in den ersten Jahren hatte der Verein unter dem Manager Hotstuff-Hoschi zwischen der 12. und 17. Saison. Im Verlauf der folgenden Spielzeiten wurde aus der Fahrstuhlmannschaft zunächst ein solides Team der Skandinavia 2, das dann aber allmählich in den Tabellenkeller rutschte. Nach dem Katastrophenjahr 2009, in dem sich sage und schreibe acht Manager bei Djurgardens IF versucht hatten, wird der Verein seit der Saison 26 von David Bronstein betreut. Nach einigen Spielzeiten der Konsolidierung (in die der Aufstieg der Jugend in Saison 30 sowie die Gründung der Amateurabteilung in Saison 31 fällt) konnte der Verein in Saison 31 den Aufstieg in die Skandinavia 1 sowie den Gewinn des Nils-Holgersson-Wanderpokals feiern.
